The openslice releases are offered under the LGPL licence from opensource.org. Essentially, the intention is to allow anyone to use the code/functionality and to pass it along to others, as long as there is no reduction in allowed functionality.
To our understanding the LGPL allows you to use the libraries in a product or development work for a client whether it is performed free, or for a fee - so basically it should cover anyone who wants to use it. The intention isn't to make any money out of this, but to share some knowledge and experience.
